Newbury Racecourse held its first race in 1905 and has long been one of Britain’s leading horse racing tracks. Each year the venue stages up to 30 days of top class Jump and Flat racing, drawing in thousands of fans from around the world. The headline events in Newbury’s calendar include the Ladbrokes Trophy and Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes.

In addition to the on-track action, the racecourse is also a thriving events venue, hosting a huge range of activities including weddings, concerts, and conferences for 20 to 1,000 attendees for a wide spectrum of businesses and organisations in stunning surroundings. Over the past five years the racecourse has undergone significant development, nearing completion it comprises of a new Eastern Entrance, several new bars, and a re-landscaped parade ring and winner’s enclosure. In addition, there is a new 36-bedroom luxury hotel known as The Lodge.

The site also features a successful private nursery, providing a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment for many pre-school children.

Energy efficiency savings totalling £6,160

As official partners with Newbury Racecourse for the 2019/20 season, The Energy Check will become title sponsors of two race days at the Berkshire course – The Energy Check Raceday on 25th October 2019 and The Energy Check Summer Evening Racing on Thursday 9th July 2020 as part of an initial 1-year deal.

The Energy Check’s role will also include the provision of energy brokerage and consultancy services, helping Newbury Racecourse to reduce costs and make important savings on energy consumption. This includes the implementation of changes to processes and culture, as well as longer-term projects that integrate renewable technologies and infrastructure.
